Duration of Study / Maximum Period of Enrollment
- The standard duration of study is 4 years (8 semesters).
- The maximum period of enrollment must not exceed 1.5 times the standard duration of study.
- For transfer or readmission students, semesters recognized by the University are included in the maximum period of enrollment.
- Periods of leave of absence are not included in the maximum period of enrollment.

Leave of Absence / Reinstatement

Complete the Application for Leave of Absence (or Reinstatement) form.

Submit all documents to the Student and Academic Affairs Team.
- A student who wishes to take a leave of absence for unavoidable reasons within the first half (2/4) of the semester must submit a Leave of Absence form and obtain approval.
- The duration of a single leave of absence may not exceed two semesters, and students may not take a leave of absence more than twice during their enrollment.
- Students wishing to return must submit the prescribed Reinstatement Application.
- Military service leave is not counted toward the limit on duration or frequency of leave. Students on military duty must submit a Military Leave of Absence Form with a Certificate of Military Service to the Student and Academic Affairs Team when applying for leave, and upon reinstatement, they must submit a copy of their Discharge Certificate to the same office.
Withdrawal
A student who wishes to withdraw must submit the prescribed Withdrawal Application and obtain the approval of the President.
Dismissal
Students subject to dismissal are as follows.
- Those who fail to return to school more than one month after the expiration of their leave of absence.
- Those who are absent for more than two months without approval.
- Those who fail to register during the designated registration period.
- Those who are deemed unlikely to continue their studies due to illness or other reasons.
- Those who enroll in another university.
- Those who are expelled under University regulations, including.
Courses and Credit Requirements
- Class timetables are announced on the University’s online management system (Uportal or Google Classroom) before the beginning of each semester.
- For theory courses, 1 credit is granted for at least one hour of instruction per week for 15 weeks.
- For practicum courses, 1 credit is granted for at least two hours of practice per week for 15 weeks.
- For clinical practicum courses, 1 credit is granted for at least three hours of practice per week for 15 weeks.
- For students admitted in the 2023 academic year, the total number of credits required for graduation is 130. Please refer to the “Curriculum” section for details on required courses and credits by year.
English Proficiency Test Requirement
Students must meet one of the official English proficiency test score requirements listed below by the end of the second semester of their [final] academic year in order to graduate with a bachelor’s degree.Students who fail to submit an official English test score must instead complete 30 hours of English courses approved by the College and receive follow-up guidance from their academic advisor to fulfill the learning outcomes requirement.
- TOEIC: 750 or higher

- IELTS: 5.5 or higher

Examinations / Grades / Attendance
Grades
- Grades are based on absolute standards.
- Grades are assessed using actual scores; a score of 70 or above is considered a pass, while below 70 is a fail.
- For clinical practicum courses, students scoring below 70 or missing more than one-fifth of practicum days must make up the deficit through additional practice.
* For certain courses, grades may be recorded as Pass/Fail without numerical scores. In such cases, credits are granted upon passing.

Attendance
- Students who are absent for more than one-fourth of the total class days without a valid reason recognized by the course instructor will not be allowed to take the final examination and will receive a failing grade due to insufficient attendance.
- Four tardies are counted as one absence.
Make-up and Additional Examinations / Grade Corrections
Make-up Examinations
- Make-up examinations are offered to students who receive a grade below 70 in a course. (Only students who sat for the original examination are eligible for a make-up exam.)
- The number and timing of make-up exams are determined by each course, typically conducted during the vacation period following the end of the semester.
- The grade obtained from a make-up examination may not exceed 74.
* If necessary, additional evaluations may be conducted at the discretion of the course instructor.
Additional Examinations
- Students who are unable to take an exam due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., illness, death of a parent) may apply for an additional examination by submitting an Application for Additional Examination and supporting documents to the Administration Team(College of Nursing) within one week.
- The grade obtained from an additional examination may not exceed 89.
Failure (Academic Failure)
- Students who receive a score below 70 even after a make-up examination will fail the course due to insufficient achievement.
- Students who are absent for more than one-fourth of the total class days without a valid reason recognized by the course instructor will fail the course due to insufficient attendance.
Grade Appeal and Correction
If a student has an objection after grades are announced, the student may file a grade appeal with the course instructor. If the instructor finds the appeal to be valid, the instructor may submit a Grade Correction Approval Form within two weeks after the grade announcement to correct the grade.
Recognition of Previously Earned Credits
For students who have failed a semester, courses in which they earned a score of 80 or above will be recognized as previously earned credits.
* Clinical practicum courses are excluded from this recognition.
Follow-up Guidance
In the following cases, students must receive follow-up guidance under the supervision of their academic advisor and course instructor, and submit the required outcomes, which will be reflected in their learning outcomes.
- Students whose academic performance is deemed unsatisfactory and require additional guidance.
- Students who fail to pass a course even after a make-up examination.
- Students who have unmet learning outcomes.
Graduation
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is conferred by the President upon students who have completed the required credits and achieved the program learning outcomes, following the review and approval of the Academic Affairs Committee.
