LAON Simulation Center (Learning Area Of Nursing)

Opened in April 2024, the LAON Simulation Center is a state-of-the-art educational facility designed to strengthen students’ clinical performance by providing environments and scenarios that closely mirror real-world health care settings.
The center includes a Virtual Reality Lab, Acute Care Nursing Unit, Family Nursing Unit, Community Health Nursing Unit, Debriefing Rooms, and a Reception Hall. It is equipped with high-fidelity simulators for critical care, geriatric care, maternity, and neonatal care, as well as childbirth models and pelvic examination models.Since 2024, beginning with the inaugural LAON Academic Conference, the University has actively engaged with health care professionals through both internal and external academic activities. Through ongoing research on simulation-based learning and assessment, the LAON Simulation Center continues to lead innovation in nursing education.

A minimum of 87 hours of simulation practicum must be completed prior to graduation.
Enhancing Educational Competence
- Provides simulation education capacity-building programs for faculty members, faculty from neighboring universities, and nurses from affiliated hospitals.
- Develops simulation scenarios.
Community Network and Infrastructure Sharing
- Shares infrastructure with nurses from CMC-affiliated hospitals, nurses from partner hospitals, and nursing students from partner universities.
- Contributes to the expansion of simulation-based education.
